In fact, three-quarters of UK adults say they share their data at least some of the time, and two-thirds want their data to move seamlessly across the services they use. Value, access, and confidence are the drivers &#8211; 45% share to get better deals, 37% because services require it, and 37% because they trust the organisation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consumers are already behaving as if they live in a connected economy. They switch services, expect portability, and assume their data can move with them. Where this&nbsp;doesn\u2019t&nbsp;happen, they see it as a failure of systems and institutions &#8211; not of their own willingness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trust is the sticking point<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same polling makes clear that trust is the sticking point.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>62% feel they&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;have enough control over how their data is used.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>50% worry about data security.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>45% have refused services because of uncomfortable data requirements.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The pattern is unmistakable: people will share, provided they are confident that the exchange is fair, transparent, and safe.
